Flynn, Robert "Bobby"
Inducted: 1983

Lexington, Kentucky
Bobby was known for his great athletic ability in many sports which included basketball, baseball, and softball.
He was primarily a pitcher but had the ability to play all positions. His career began in Lexington, KY. He was small in stature and no one would give him a chance to play until Tommy Bell, park director, challenged Bobby to learn to pitch and with his encouragement developed into an excellent pitcher and was in demand from all teams. When not pitching, he was always in the line up playing another position. Bobby could bunt, hit the ball, had a lot of speed, and could run the bases. It was not unusual for Bobby to pitch two games in a night--one in Versailles and one in Frankfort. He played for 15 years and won 15 National
Championship tournaments.
