Juanita Zutt was a flawless fielder who hit for both power and
average and was considered among the best at coming
through in the clutch.
Considered by many as the best third baseman produced by
the city of Louisville, Juanita played for Bill's Girls from 1946
thru 1961 during which they won the Metro Championship in all
but three years. In 1962, '63, and '64 she played slow pitch for
the Has Been who were the Metro Runners-up in each of
those years. Juanita was picked up by the winners to play in
the National Tournament. As testimony to her skills on the
diamond, she was pursued to play for the All- American Girls
Baseball League team, the Caterpillar Dieselettes.
We are proud and privileged to be able to induct Juanita Zutt
into the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame and Honor.
