Jim Wheeler was one of very few players who excelled in both fast and slow pitch during the same period. In a career that has spanned more than six decades, some of his highlights include:

1954 -- Played with Sterling Beer, City fast pitch champions.

1958-1963 -- Played slow pitch powerhouse Duffey's who dominated the City & State competition and were World Runners-Up in 1959.

1955-1975 -- Pitched for Ford V-8 who were:

-Industrial League Championship: 1965 & 1966

-Union League Champions: 1967, 1968, & 1969

-City AAA Industrial Champions: 1970

-USSSA Metro Champions: 1971

-City League Champions: 1972

-USSSA Industrial World Champions: 1972

In 1990, Jim began playing senior level and played for team that won national championships in 2001 and 2005. In 2008, his team was Runners-Up. We are proud and privileged to be able to induct Jim Wheeler into the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame & Honor.
