Cox, Judy
Inducted: 1999

She began playing competitive softball in 1970 and played for eighteen
years. She was a consensus pick as one of the states best outfielders
as her ability to react to a hit ball made it seem as if no one could get one by her in the outfield. She played on:
*Four state championship squads
*Four MidWest Regional Championship squads
*Two state runner-up teams
She was twice named All-American and earned a career batting average of .490. Among the numerous individual awards bestowed upon her were being named MVP four times and all-tournament ten times.
She also umpired and supervised the youth girl's softball program in
Lexington for six years as her way of giving back to the game. She has
been an outstanding role model for young women to follow in the game
of softball.
