JUNE LOVED FAST PITCH SOFTBALL AND WAS THE TYPE OF PLAYER WHO ALWAYS GAVE 110%. JUNE WAS LOYAL TO HER COACHES, TEAM MANAGER, AND PLAYERS.
SHE WAS EXCELLENT WITH THE BAT, ALWAYS BATTING IN THE CLEAN-UP POSITION. SHE COULD HIT A LONG BALL AND BAT IN RUNS.
SHE WAS ONLY 5'2" TALL. BUT HER HEIGHT DID NOT HANDICAP HER IN PLAYING FIRST BASE. JUNE COULD PICK UP THE BALL OUT OF THE DIRT OR STRETCH RIGHT OR LEFT AND CATCH THE BALLS THAT WERE NOT ON TARGET.
ONE OF HER GREAT THRILLS WAS WHEN HER TEAM PUT THE NATIONAL CHAMPION IN THE LOSER'S BRACKET IN THE MIDWEST REGIONAL. AND WHEN HER TEAM FINISHED 3RD IN THE MIDWEST REGIONAL IN LOGANSPORT, INDIANA, SHE WAS PUT ON THE ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM.
JUNE WAS A COMPETITOR AND CONSISTENT IN EACH AND EVERY GAME SHE PLAYED. SHE ALWAYS HAD THE DESIRE TO WIN.
